November 4, 2018 - 24th Sunday after Pentecost (communion Sunday)

Focus Scripture: Mark 12:38-44

November 11, 2018 - 25th Sunday after Pentecost

"Standing at the Door"

Endings are also beginnings. You stand at another door in the life of the church.  You hear Jesus knocking but you don’t know what he wants of you.

Gospel Lesson: Luke 11:5-10

Focus Scripture: Revelation 3:20

November 18, 2018 - 26th Sunday after Pentecost

"Standing in the Threshold"

We find ourselves in between times and waiting.  It is hard to wait, but in that in between time, we find our  grounding.  It is the benefit of being in the wilderness, sometimes a feeling of wondering but with the hope of the Promised Land.

Lesson: Proverbs 8:33-35

Focus Scripture: Revelation 3:20

November 25, 2018 - Reign of Christ

"Standing on the Other Side"

We have stood at the threshold of life ready now to step through the door! God who was knocking leads us on our journey.

Gospel Lesson: Matthew 10:1-8

Focus Scripture: Revelation 3:20

Advent 2018

December 2 "Gifts: You"

Who you are and what you do is a gift from God to be used for God.  Imagine YOU - the church and God - working through your heart, your voice, your smile, your intellect, your talents, and so much more

 Scripture: Luke 21:25-36

December 9 – "Gifts: Time"

“I just don’t have the time.” “I’m running out of time.” These are just two of the things we says about time. When that happens, it forces us to reprioritize and to discover what is important in our lives.

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1-17

December 16 "Gifts: Possessions"

What we possess is a blessing by God.  How do we creatively let God use what we possess to touch lives?

Scripture: John 17:9-11

December 23 "Gifts: Jesus"

The greatest gift at Christmas is the gift of God’s son to the world. How is Christ a gift to the world? If we have received this gift, how do we then share this gift?

Scripture: John 3:16-21
